Welcome to Gogo. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data of Gogo users (“you” or “yours”).
Gogo Technologies Ltd is the entity that provides Gogo and controls processing of data (“we” or “us”).
This policy applies when you use Gogo websites, mobile applications, products, content, or services (collectively “Platform” or “Gogo”), or when you contact us.
This policy does not cover how we handle information about our employees, candidates, or business partners.
Customers: Users that request transportation or courier services via Gogo.
Drivers: Individuals who provide transportation services to Customers.
We collect three types of information: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from other sources.
Information you provide
Customer: Name, phone number, email, country, city, payment details (mobile money or bank card), profile picture, and emergency contacts.
Driver: Full name, profile picture, license data, vehicle information (type, make, model, year, color, registration), proof of identity and residency, date of birth, gender, insurance, driving record, and payment/banking details.
Additional data such as background checks may be collected where required by law. Without providing required information, you cannot register as a Driver or fully use the Customer App.
Information collected automatically
Location Data: GPS location for rides, navigation, and safety monitoring.
Transaction Data: Payment history, amounts, dates, routes, and distances traveled.
Usage Data: App usage, feature interaction, crash reports, and technical performance.
Device Data: Device type, model, OS version, IP address, advertising identifiers, browser type, network type, and sensor data (speed, acceleration, etc.).
Identifiers: User ID and trip ID assigned automatically.
Cookies & Tracking: We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for analytics and service improvements.
Information from other sources
Third-party services such as payment processors, identity verification providers, and background check vendors.
Law enforcement or government authorities, if required.
Other users (e.g., referral programs or support interactions).
Provide, maintain, and improve Gogo services.
Process payments through mobile money and bank cards.
Match Customers with Drivers efficiently.
Communicate updates, alerts, and non-marketing notifications.
Prevent fraud, unsafe behavior, and unlawful activities.
Conduct testing, research, and product development.
Promote Gogo services and offer marketing communications where consented.
Comply with legal obligations and protect rights.
Automated decision-making may be used to match Drivers and Customers, determine ratings, flag unsafe behavior, and recommend fares. Human review is applied where required by law.
With Other Users:
Customers: Name, profile picture, rating, pickup/drop-off locations, fare, comments, and contact info shared with Drivers.
Drivers: Name, profile picture, vehicle info, location, rating, and contact info shared with Customers.
With Service Providers:
Payment processing, support, background checks, insurance, cloud storage, in-app messaging, anti-fraud, advertising, research, and professional services.
Other Circumstances:
Within corporate group entities.
In connection with a business transfer or legal requirements.
With consent or when data is anonymized.
Cross-border transfers may occur to support operations, with safeguards in place.
Access, update, or delete your personal data through app settings or by contacting support@gogo.mw.
Opt out of push notifications, marketing emails, or calls.
Manage cookie settings via your browser or device.
Restrict processing of your data where permitted by law.
File complaints with supervisory authorities as applicable.
Data is retained while your account exists and for legitimate purposes thereafter (tax, legal, fraud prevention).
While we strive to protect your data, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Gogo is not intended for children under 13. We will delete personal information of children if discovered.
Telephone monitoring: Calls may be recorded for quality assurance.
Do Not Track: Gogo does not currently respond to “do-not-track” signals.
Third-party collection: We are not responsible for external platforms that collect your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy. The Last Updated date will reflect changes, and continued use of Gogo constitutes acceptance.
